This is becoming more and more common: Pigeons nesting under solar panels. They make a noise, a terrible mess and their droppings are a health hazard. A galvanised mesh ‘skirt’ applied to the framework of the array cures the problem.
Pestend worked with a scaffolding specialist to create a safe working environment in this instance: the panels were too close to the edge of the building to allow a ‘roped access’ approach. Each solar array proofing job requires a site inspection to assess the risk and work out a safe working model.
